In 2018, I started creating shirts, totes, signs and crafts with my Cricut. Initially, it was just a hobby, but as I perfected my craft, I decided to start a small business out of my home selling my creations. I chose the name My Discovery Room for 2 reasons. First of all when I started, I wanted a name that would not limit my prospects and hamper my growth. Secondly, my mother had a shop in Charleston, IL in the seventies named, The Discovery Room, years later she and I started a gift shop with the same name. So My Discovery Room seemed like a logical step. During the past few years my focus has been primarily shirts, but I am adding products as interest allows. Now I use not only heat transfer vinyl cut by my Cricut, but screenprint transfers from other talented designers, direct to film transfers, and will soon be adding sublimation. It is amazing to me to see how this has evolved. With my new workspace, I am excited to see what the next few years have in store.

I'm Alexis and I'm a comfort enthusiast. I wear comfy tees and hoodies every day. Most of the time you can find me in one that expresses my love for coffee or my dogs. Sometimes I prefer to wear a personalized design that tells everyone I am proud to be Paul, Joe, & Melinda’s mom. Then other days, I let my light shine in a faith inspired top. At times, my humorous & sarcastic side has to be shown. No matter what design I am sporting, kindness and encouragement are always on my mind.
